FMIC's Organization
Fountain Mutual Irrigation Company (FMIC) is comprised of fifty-seven (57) Shareholders and five (5) Board of Directors. The Board of Directors report to the Shareholders on all business issues related to the overall success of the Company. The Board of Directors are nominated by FMIC Shareholders and voted to office at the Shareholders Annual Meeting held the first week of January. The Board of Directors serves a two-year term and upon completion of their term, if nominated and re-elected, they can serve again (there is no time limitation for service). Each Board of Director holds a specific position related to the Company (i.e., President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Secretary & Treasurer).
The Board of Directors works closely with several outside consulting agencies concerning operations of the Company. FMIC’s Manager is under yearly contact to manage daily operations and maintenance of the Company and overseeing all employees. The Company also receives consulting services on legal, accounting, insurance, engineering, special assignments, etc., when needed.
